url pattern exception

Hello,

in my web.xml i've put this parameter to protect my site:

      <web-resource-collection>
        <web-resource-name>Protected Area</web-resource-name>
        <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
      </web-resource-collection>

with this config all my site is protected. But...

I'd need at least one URL to be unprotected for a direct and indipendent access.

Is there any config parameter to exlcude one specific url from the protected area?

Thank you.

Regards

There's no such parameter. There're possible protocol complications, too. Maybe you can get away with two separate apps?

Nope, i cannot use another app, but i've solved the problem.

In the whole Web App i've a simply redirection to a single page if the user is not really authenticated, so i've put the single page on the <url-pattern> tag instead the " /* ".
