Filter example - not allow anonymous user?

Just downloaded and trying to learn how to use Waffle.  I have set up a basic html page using the filter (Tomcat 6.0.29).

The page does prompt me for my network credentials and it does keep prompting me if I enter invalid credentials, however if I enter no credentials at all I get in.

Tomcat log shows  INFO: successfully logged in user: NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON

Am I missing something obvious?

Wanted to add that this behavior does not happen when using Internet Explorer or Safari.  They both keep prompting me if I attempt to leave both username and password empty.  Firefox, Chrome, and Opera all let me in as the anonymous account.

When you get a prompt, it means that Negotiate has failed (or the browser didn't understand what the server wanted). You should go through the basic troubleshooting steps.

The server is configured with anonymous logon, so you get anonymous logged in when the browser isn't supporting Negotiate. This behavior can be configured in Waffle, but I would leave that for last.
