waffle and active directory

Hi dblock,

I was able to setup and run the waffle setup mentioned in the documentation/tutorial. But I got an error that said that the user was not in the server.  When I look into the code I found out that the user was checked against my local DB instead of the active directory. I know I'm missing something here.

How would I configure the domain and user in waffle same way or similar to jcifs? I mean, in jcifs  the domain, domain controller, user account and password are configured.

Which code did you look at that checks against a local DB? I don't know any code like this in Waffle.

Waffle doesn't require any configuration to work against Active Directory because it uses windows APIs. Those are already automatically setup depending on how the machine is setup (joined to a domain).

Let me rephrase the question:

Do i need to configure something like this in WAFFLE?

<!-- NTLM code -->

<bean id="ntlmProcessingFilter"
    <sec:custom-filter position="NTLM_FILTER" />
    <property name="authenticationManager"
      ref="providerManager" />
    <property name="domainController" value="myDomainController />
    <property name="retryOnAuthFailure" value="true"/>
    <property name="jcifsProperties" ref="jcifsPropertiesLoader" />

where i can set the domain controller? thanks!

No, you don't. You can read this article about how Windows locates domain controllers.
